The Special Envoy for International Water Affairs, Henk Ovink, together with the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO), have taken on the challenge to address water-related issues in urban areas: The programme ‘Water as Leverage for Resilient Cities Asia’ explores design solutions for the cities of Chennai (India), Khulna (Bangladesh) and Semarang (Indonesia), that tackle urban water-related challenges in an innovative and inclusive way.
Defacto is part of the team that develops design proposals for the city of Khulna in Bangladesh. We are currently developing innovative, bankable and implementable design projects, through analysis, site visits, stakeholder consultation and a series of design workshops.
