Defacto Urbanism and its partners won the European tender for the Bangladesh Delta plan 2100. The contract was offered by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The project stems from the Netherlands’ development aid program, which aims to share knowledge and experience on water management with developing countries. Bangladesh will be confronted with several challenges on flood risk and water management, hence the need for a holistic, long term plan. In the BanDuDeltASAS consortium (Bangladesh Dutch Delta Advisory Services), Defacto cooperates with Twynstra Gudde, Deltares, ECORYS, Mott MacDonald, IWM, CEGIS, UNESCO-IHE Witteveen+Bos and Wageningen UR.
