On June 6, Defacto’s director, Anne Loes Nillesen, will be one of the panel members of the seminar Planning for Resilience at TU Delft.

The seminar is concerned with flood resilience and compares the potential for flood resiliency in different planning systems in the Netherlands and in the USA. This comparison is based on the Plan Integration for Resilience Scorecard (PIRS), which was developed as a framework to help communities better understand the coordination and efficacy of their policy responses to flood hazards.

Prof. Phil Berke (Texas A&M) and Dr. Nikki Brandt (TU Delft) will both provide a lecture and Anne Loes, together with Vincent Nadin, will reflect on the effect of the PIRS-method in the Dutch situation (in Feijenoord, Rotterdam) and use of the PIRS-method in the USA.

When: June 6, 10:00-12:00
Where: Berlagezaal 1, BK (Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment, Julianalaan 134, Delft)
