This semi-detached house located in the beautiful city of Naarden was in a poor condition when it was purchased. Defacto designed for the renovation of this building which included designing a new modern bathroom and a restroom, adjusting the first floor plan and insulating the house.
On the first floor, previously separated kitchen and living room; were combined together. Further a glass extension was introduced to create some extra space. By redesigning the closets in the hallway in an efficient way it was possible to generate even more space, thereby adding a part of the hallway to the generous living space.
Besides the new open floor plan, the minimalist steel structured glass extension increased the amount on daylight in to the residence. The introduction of window on the side facade resulted in ample amount of daylight within the living room. A modern fire place was installed in the seating area which made the living room a warm and cozy place.
